Recognitions
Many of these accolades were related to educational achievements, although some of my most outstanding accomplishments came from opportunities outside of schooling and have given me some of the most precious life skills I value today.
For example winning the Under 18’s Dorset chess championship only aged 12 was a challenging and surprising venture. Setting up my own company and winning numerous awards including “company of the year” was also an extremely prestigious conquest that has inspired me to become an entrepreneur and hopefully own my own design and manufacturing firm one day.

"Raised over £1,000 for charities in two years!"
London to budapest! As part of my first charity challenge I hitch hiked from London (England) all the way to Budapest (Hungary). Passing through 6 different countries including France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, England and Hungary. All without spending a penny! It was truly the most remarkable experience I've ever had and it was for such a great cause, raising hundreds of pounds for the "AICR" (Association International Cancer Research).
"One of the greatest experiences of my life" This challenge was like nothing I’d ever experienced before, nor heard of for that matter. It was spontaneous, ambitious and scary, and that’s what I loved about it! One second I was in one country the next I was in another. I managed to soak up a variety of cultures and attitudes, and made me appreciate how people change throughout the world. Whether it was through kindness or generosity, or just people’s attitudes, it was a true enlightenment and adventure.

24 Hour Relay! Now what on earth is a 24-hour relay? Well for me it was a target of walking round a running track for 24 hours straight. Not only would it be a physical strain on my body but also a mental blockade. But with the encouragement of teammates and the hundreds of people that came along to support the many groups that took part it became accomplishable through solid determination, even if my feet will never forgive me (some advise to all, never wear new shoes to a 24 hour relay, your have blisters the size of pumpkins). But in the end I continued to walk over 36 miles which is the equivalent from Bournemouth to Stone Henge.
So what was it in aid for? As part of the second stage of my charity challenge this challenge was dedicated to Cancer research raising thousands of pounds to hopefully bring the cure to cancer closer and closer. Half Marathon!Never in my life have I been so physically tired. Running 13 miles non-stop in a total time of 1hr 36 minutes. Up and down, round and round it was a journey that I had trained hours on end for and even then the thought of all the supporters that had raised so much money for charity spurred me on and enabled me to cross the finish line.
"One of the most PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY challenging ventures I have been on!" |
