Soon enough we will be living in a smart world. One where technology plays an even bigger role in our day to day lives. A world where everybody, and more importantly everything is interconnected.
This will be a world where wires need not exist; a wireless world. Technology will be so drastically advanced that there will be no need for batteries as the things around us will provide a constant stream of energy for our devices to receive and use. It will be a world that is mapped out in computerized 3D, a virtual, real, reality. We can pin point and travel to locations in parts of buildings not just the building itself, with supercomputers providing the best, fastest route. Taking into account factors we could never think to comprehend, the wind, traffic accidents, other peoples habits.
But what makes a smart world? …What makes a world? …The source of any world is to be a home. Before we can class the world as smart, the homes that belong to it must become so. Our homes will become interconnected to the environment they live in, with sky scrapers touching the clouds to meet the demands of the Billions of people. Our homes will have smart alarms, allowing services to locate what exact part of the building is disturbed through crime or fire. We can control the temperature of our homes while were out and about making sure it’s nice and warm for the time we get home. There is so much more ‘Smart’ out there that it becomes inconceivable to imagine. Smart technology that connects to one another will dominate our social and economic world making our lives, perhaps too easy? It raises questions into when will we need not exist? Will technology de-revolutionise because of our reliance on technology?
