The ability to sketch is a designer’s best tool to convey their imagination to others. It’s a way of transforming something that only exists within you, and sharing it with others. It’s only what one individual sees, and no one else they can be quick or detailed, it doesn’t matter. What matter’s is that others can see what you see, and think.
“PHOTOGRAPHY IS AN IMMEDIATE REACTION, DRAWING IS A MEDITATION” (HENRI CARTIER-BRESSON)
Drawing is the foundation of all inventor’s and designers. It’s a way of developing creativity, and truly understanding what a product is capable of doing in a way our mind cannot mentally picture. Whether its displayed with squiggly lines, or detailed renders we draw to allow not only us, but also others to understand what we imagine. It’s the ability to convey imagination into reality at click of a pen, a swoosh of brush, a click of a pencil.
Drawings allow us to develop our ideas and ourselves, without it life would be far less creative.
